Slender-billed Curlew

A new record of Slender-billed Curlew Numenius tenuirostris in the Rhine- Meuse delta, SW Netherlands, a 2nd cal.yr. female found on 4th April 2020.

The 11 Slender-billed Curlews seen in 2013 plus the 2020 individual are the
only living Slender-billed Curlews reported worldwide this century.
However the good news is that the 2020 bird is a young bird, born in
2019 so that in any case the species is not extinct,
